Why am I doing this giveaway?
To celebrate the launch of my Limited Edition Luchadores Series 2 stickers and because Cinco De Mayo (May 5) is just around the corner.

Details:
One lucky fan will win an Octokitty Luchadores bundle that includes:
• One set of the Limited Edition Luchadores Series 2 stickers. This sticker set is a limited print of 40 sets. After the 40 sets are gone they won't be re printed again. Each set has 6 different Luchadores.
• One set of the Sugar Skulls stickers (8 different skulls inside see here)
• Two of my favorite (8x10) luchadores prints.

Luchadores Giveaway

It's been a while since my last post bu I have been keeping busy... visit my facebook, tumblr, etsy, and flickr.

This is the official announcement of the Limited Edition Luchadores Series 2 stickers. This is a limited print of 40 sets of stickers. Each set has 6 different Luchadores in it. To celebrate this new launch and because Cinco De Mayo (May 5) is just around the corner I am having a giveaway were one lucky fan can win an Octokitty Luchadores bundle. Included in this prize is one set of the Limited Edition Luchadores Series 2 stickers, one set of the brand new Sugar Skulls stickers and 2 of my favorite luchadores prints. This is a must have for any Lucha Libre, masked wrestler fan!

This giveaway takes place in my facebook art page and goes until Saturday May 5, better known as Cinco de Mayo! The winner will be selected at random from all the submissions, and announce on Facebook, Monday May 7.

How to Win:
Leave a Luchador name as a comment below. Be creative (not mean). The best most original name will be crowned as the winner. The Winner will be selected by a professional team of masked wrestlers (to be announced at a later date). The selected name will be used in the publication of the Luchadores Series 2 stickers.

Stickers details:
Luchadores Series 1 Sticker set, it's a VERY limited print of vinyl stickers, less than 20 sets. There are 7 different mask wrestlers on the set. Two of these characters will stay a mystery until the lucky buyer or challenge winner opens their set.

These stickers are printed on a vinyl like paper and cut by hand. Each sticker is between 4" to 4.5" tall. They come carefully packed in a plastic bag, and shipped surrounded by cardboard to avoid any bends. If you want to skip the challenge and buy your own set the the price f is $7. Tattooed Luchador

I like to always have more than one project in the works. Currently I'm working on a painting for the Small Stuff 3 Show, but I also decided to upgrade an original character I haven't work with in a long, long time. Coming soon as a plush, the new an improved Señor Luchador.

As you can see from the sketch he now has a stache, which by itself is a million times cooler. He will be keeping the unibrow and the chest hair and will be styling a tattoo. Yes! A tattoo! Where does it go you ask. Right under his chest hair, above his belt. It's a big fat RODRIGUEZ.

So far he is only a sketch but in my head he looks pretty cool. Stay tuned I'll start him as soon as I'm done with the paintings for Small Stuff 3.

What's in the works?

I'm working in a couple of new pieces some paintings, more plushies and possibly a stencil for a show in Belgium. I'm very excited about two new art shows specially Stich Wars at the Bear and Bird Boutique Gallery and Stick Me Hard! I hope soon to put some pictures up. But in the mean time lets stay creative.

El Peligrozo Azúl Visits Chichén Itzá

El Peligrozo Azúl is a "Lucha Libre" wrestler born in south Florida from Puertorrican parents. He has been retired from the action for a few years, traveling the world is his new passion. Of course he still goes in costume, if not he wouldn't be El Peligrozo Azúl, he would just be José Octavio Rodríguez Maldonado, which sounds pretty exotic but not as exciting.

In his latest adventure, El Peligrozo visited the Yucatán peninsula of México. There he had a tons of fun, he ate a lot, partied all night and drank all day. Hi visited many cities like Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Valladolid, Izamal, Mérida, Uman and a few others that he cannot remember. In this cities he visited many places like the ruins of Tulúm, Cenote Samulá, the Izamal church, the plaza of Valladolid and Mérida a big pyramid in the middle of a town and a few other places. But out of all this places his favorite has to be Chichén Itzá, one of the new wonders on the world.
