Art You Can Hug : on the paper

Looks like my plush monster Ouch! has turned into the spokes person for the upcoming plush show Art You Can Hug! He was recently featured in the Broward-Palm Beach New Times Magazine and website, and is also on the show's flying. But he won't be making an appearance at the show because he is now happily living in San Francisco.

Umpa Lumpas

I'm currently working on the patters for two Umpa Lumpa plush. These characters are for the upcoming art show, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Gallery. Both designs are based on the original character from Willy Wonka and the Chcocolate Factory. The first plush is will be wearing their traditional outfits. The second design is wearing the white suit from the Wonka-Vision scene. You know when the loud-cowboy kids gets stuck in the TV.

Ready for island life

Busy. Busy Busy

So many shows. So much work. So little time.

I been a busy bee the past few weeks getting all my plushies done in time for upcoming shows, and helping my girlfriend finish her dissertation. I have 3 upcoming shows that are so close to each other I have to do all the pieces at the same time. The shows are Art You Can Hung, this is a full soft, plush show. My first 100%plush show participation. Days after that show the brand new Island Life is happening up in Cocoa Beach. A friend of my friend is putting that one together. The a few weeks after those two is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Gallery. The good thing about the later one is that since its a live art show I can actually finish my piece at the event. I will definitely us that to my advantage.

Besides the guys in the pictures I'm also working on a "tiki god" (for "Island Life"), another "Skull Octokitty"(for Willy's Gallery) and a glittery "blue owl" (for "Art You Can Hug"). After those 3 are done I still have to work on an Umpa Lumpa and think of some revenge. yeah.... Busy, busy, busy.

Ortika Streetart Lovers : Rome, Italy Art Show

This is one of the few international shows I get to do this year. If you can read Italian this is a good link to find more info on the show. If like me you can not read Italian then go to this link to see some of the art work. There is a little bit of everything, something for everyone. I wish I had spent more time doing mine. There are some, really, really good ones.

New website under work

I am in the middle of working on an archeological publication, 4 art shows (that keep multiplying) and getting my taxes done. I'm also working on learning CSS. What a better way to learn than building a site? Now live, but not 100% done, is my new "portfolio" site. Check it out. Let me know what you think.
